Drama Play <A Big Apartments>

Description: The staff and cast of the drama had been put together for rehearsal in the student apartments. However, due to lack of funds and other reasons, it has not had a chance to be performed on stage. From the end of 80s to the beginning of 90s, thousands and thousands of Chinese students had come to Australia to study at their own expenses. The drama tells the story about ten Chinese secondary school students came to study in Australia. They come from different cities, different families, and stay together in a foreign country away from home, in a large but ordinary apartment. They are of different ages, experienced different situation and have had to deal with different challenges. Among them are those who study hard longing for one day will be able to get back and serve their motherland and their parents; among those who keep to their moral discipline and temptation, struggle to adapt to a new environment and have to live up with the feeling of social loss; few of them have changed so much that even their parents could hardly identify their children. The drama has revealed the lives of a small group of “Kids away from home, the unknown sides of a new life.
